Foundation House has a long and successful
track record of launching innovative programs that have reshaped
how services are delivered to refugees in Australia.
Through the development and trial of new ideas, Foundation
House has created a vast collection of useful programs and
resources with the aim of making its work the best it can
be in an ever-changing environment.
Foundation House’s Service Innovation Program is about
seeking new ways forward in work with refugees, their families,
their communities and the service providers and systems supporting
them.
On many occasions, the philanthropic sector has possessed
both the vision and flexibility to fund such programs. Once
Foundation House has demonstrated the effectiveness and success
of a pilot program or resource, the investment by other funding
entities either government or philanthropic often becomes
possible, enabling new innovations to grow and develop.
Throughout Foundation House's history, philanthropy has
on many occasions been the reliable and supportive base to
which Foundation House has been able to turn when it has
sought to explore new ways of reaching out to refugee communities.
