Foundation House plays a leading support
role for a number of organisations involved in providing
services to refugees and survivors of torture.
Many smaller organisations turn to Foundation House for
both practical and strategic support due to its recognised
expertise in the field over many years.
In addition to providing training to staff and volunteers
of external organisations, Foundation House often provides
direct supervision, assistance during times of crises, debriefing,
and longer term support such as the development of guidelines
and policy.
Foundation House recognises the importance of providing
strong support services for both internal and external staff
in this demanding field of work.
There are a wide range of services available for refugees
in Victoria. Foundation House aims to work in partnership
with a range of organisations across the health, welfare,
education and community service sectors to minimise duplication
and provide a comprehensive response that supports refugees
in their communities.
